Materials

60 grams of King Cole big value baby DK Yarn

5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks

ribbon for a bow

TENSION - 1.5 rpts and 3 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Hat - With 5.00mm hook make 72ch, ss to first ch to form a ring, change to 4.00mm hook, 1ch, (WS) 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each ch to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (72dc)

Next Row - 3ch, (1tr, 2ch, 1dc) into base of 3ch, * miss 2dc, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next dc, rpt from * to * to last 2dc, miss last 2dc, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (24 Groups)

Pattern Row - ss to first 2ch space, make 3ch, (1tr, 2ch, 1dc) into same 2ch space, * miss 2tr and dc, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 1tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 20 rows have been worked in all. Fasten off.

Finishing - With WS facing centre ss seam to back of hat, using 5.00mm hook ss cast on edge (top of hat) together to close open gap. Weave in any loose ends of yarn and turn through to right side, fold approx 2 inches onto RS of hat to make a brim.

Pom Poms - Make 2 small sized pom-poms,attach one pom-pom to each corner and secure tightly. I used Clover Pom-Pom maker size 45mm
