Materials
50 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in Cream (046)
5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hook
Small amount of 6mm wide ribbon
TENSION - 5dc and 6 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Booties x 2 (Starting with Sole) - With 4.00mm hook make 11ch, (RS) 3htr into 4th
ch from hook, 1htr into each of next 6ch, 8htr into last ch, working on opposite
side of cast on ch, work 1htr into each of next 6ch, 4htr into last ch, ss to top
of the 3ch on beginning of row. DNT. (27htr + 3ch)
Round 2 - 2ch, 1htr into base of 2ch, 2htr into each of next 2htr, 1htr into each
of next 8htr, 2htr into each of next 6htr, 1htr into each of next 8htr, 2htr into
each of last 3htr, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of row. DNT. (39htr + 2ch).
Round 3 - 2ch, 1htr into each htr to end, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of row. DNT.
Round 4 - Working into back loop of stitch only, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch,
1dc into each htr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn (40dc)
Round 5 - Working through both loops make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each
dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. Rpt last row once. Fasten off.
Instep - With WS facing and counting from were you fastened off, miss 10dc, rejoin
yarn with a ss to next dc, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next 19dc. Turn leaving
10dc un-worked. (20dc)
Next Row - (Dec row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (see abbrev)
9 times, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (11dc)
Next Row - (Dec row) 1ch, 1dc in base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (5 times). Turn.
(6dc)
Next Row - Make 1ch, insert hook and pull up loop in each dc, yrh and pull through
all 7 loops on hook to close, work 1ch. Fasten off.
Top - With WS facing rejoin yarn to back seam, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work
1dc into each of next 9dc, 9dc evenly across top of instep, work 1dc into each of
next 10dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (29dc)
Row 2 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning
of row. Turn. Rpt last row twice. Turn.
Eyelet Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc
into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row.
Turn.
Row 6 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end, ss to to
first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (29dc)
Row 7 - 3ch, (1tr, 2ch, 1dc) into base of 3ch, * miss 2dc, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next
dc, rpt from * to * to last dc, miss last dc, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.
Turn. (10 groups)
Pattern Row - ss to first 2ch space, make 3ch, (1tr, 2ch, 1dc) into same 2ch space,
* miss 2tr and dc, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end,
miss 1tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.
With 5.00mm hook and top of bootie towards you, rejoin yarn with a ss to back seam,
work one row of slip stitch into loose loops on sole of bootie, ss to first ss on
beginning or row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn, thread ribbon through eyelet
row and tie in a bow to the front of the booties.
Mitts x 2 - With 5.00mm hook make 22ch, ss to first ch to form a ring.
Eyelet Row - Change to 4.00mm hook and make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next
ch, * make 2ch, miss 1ch, 1dc into each of next 2ch * rpt from * to * to last 2ch,
make 2ch, miss 1ch, 1dc into last ch, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (7,
2ch spaces)
2nd Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end, ss to
first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (22dc)
3rd Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning
of row. Turn.
Rpt last row 4 more times. Turn.
Shape Top - 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of next
6dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into each of next 6dc, dec 1dc over next
2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (18dc)
Starting with 1ch, work 1 row of 1dc into each dc, ss to first dc on beginning of
row. Turn.
10th Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of next
4dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into each of next 4dc, dec 1dc over next
2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (14dc)
Starting with 1ch, work 1 row of 1dc into each dc, ss to first dc on beginning of
row. Turn.
12th Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of next
2dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into each of next 2dc, dec 1dc over next
2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (10dc)
With RS side facing work 22dc evenly along cast on edge at cuff, ss to first dc on
beginning of row. Turn.
Next Row - 3ch, (1tr, 2ch, 1dc) into base of 3ch, * miss 2dc, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into
next dc, rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (8 groups)
Work Pattern Row from booties once. Fasten off.
Finishing - With WS side facing gather open seam at top of mitt and secure, weave
in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, thread ribbon through eyelet row around cuff
and tie in a bow to the front of the mitts. Turn through to RS.
