Materials

60 grams of King Cole big value baby DK Yarn

OR

2.15oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 Yarn

5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks

ribbon for a bow

GAUGE - 1.5 rpts and 3 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Hat - With 5.00mm hook ch72, sl st to first ch to form a ring, change to 4.00mm hook, ch1, (WS) 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each ch to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (72sc)

Next Row - ch3, (1dc, ch2, 1sc) in base of ch3, * skip 2sc, (2dc, ch2, 1sc) in next sc, rpt from * to * to last 2sc, skip last 2sc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (24 Groups)

Pattern Row - sl st to first ch2 space, ch3, (1dc, ch2, 1sc) in same ch2 space, * skip 2dc and sc, (2dc, ch2, 1sc) in next ch2 space, * rpt from * to * to end, skip 1dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 20 rows have been worked in all. Fasten off.

Finishing - With WS facing centre sl st seam to back of hat, using 5.00mm hook sl st cast on edge (top of hat) together to close open gap. Weave in any loose ends of yarn and turn through to right side, fold approx 2 Inches onto RS of hat to make a brim.

Pom Poms - Make 2 small sized pom-poms, attach one pom-pom to each corner and secure tightly. I used Clover Pom-Pom maker size 45mm
