TENSION - 5htr and 4 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Sweater Back (Rib) - # With colour 1, make 6ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into
each ch to end. Turn. (5dc)
Next Row - Working into back loop only make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each
dc to end.
Rpt last row until you have 45dc rows in all.
Body - Working along the side of rib, make 1ch, (RS) 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into
each row end to end. Fasten off. Turn. (45dc)
Join in colour 2
Row 2 - Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Row 3 - Rpt Row 2. Fasten off Turn.
Row 4 - Join in colour 3, make 2ch, 1htr into base of 2ch, * miss 1dc, (1htr, 1ch,
1htr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, miss 1dc, 2htr into last dc. Turn.

Row 5 - 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * make 1ch, tr3tog (see abbrev) into next 1ch
space, * rpt from * to * to end, make 1ch, miss 1htr, tr2tog (see abbrev) into top

Join in colour 1
Row 10 to 35 - Make 2ch, 1htr into base of 2ch, 1htr into each dc to end. Turn.
Buttonhole Flap - Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 11tr. Turn.
(12dc). Work 3 more row in dc on these 12 dc stitches. Turn.
Next Row (Buttonholes) - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, 2ch, miss next
dc, 1dc into each of next 6dc, 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into last 2dc. Turn. (2 buttonholes

Join in colour 2 and starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each
dc to end. Turn. (27dc)
Next Row - (Inc Row) 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each of next 25dc,
2dc into last dc. Fasten off. Turn.
Join in colour 3 and rpt Rows 4 to 7 from back of sweater. (13 tr3tog) Fasten off.
Turn.
Next Row - (Inc Row) Join in colour 2, make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each
tr3tog and 1ch space to end, 2dc into top of 3ch. Turn. (31dc)
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.
Turn.
Join in colour 1
Next Row - (Inc Row) 2ch, 2htr into base of 2ch, 1htr into each of next 29dc, 2htr
into last dc. Fasten off. Turn.
Continue in htr stitch increasing each end of every alternate row by working 2htr
into the base of 2ch and 2htr into last htr until 37htr remain.
Continue working in htr without increasing until your work measures approx 6 inches
from beginning. Fasten off.
With WS side facing, join right hand side shoulder seam together by over sewing with
a needle and yarn, leave left shoulder seam open (the side with extra rows on back
for fold over and buttonholes)
Neck Edge - Using colour 1 and with RS facing and starting on side of open shoulder,
work 10dc down front edge, 17dc across front, 10dc up second front edge, 1dc into
each of 21dc along back, ss to each of the 2 rows on buttonhole flap. Turn. (58dc)
Next Row - Work 1ch, miss 2 ss, 1dc into each of next 30dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc,
1dc into each of next 15dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Fasten off.
Finishing - Fold sleeves in half lengthways, then placing centre folds to shoulder,
over sew with needle and yarn into position. Join side and sleeve seams together
in the same way.
Weave in and tie off any loose end of yarn and trim, sew on buttons to correspond
with buttonholes on shoulders.
