dc group.

(2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into same stitch or space

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

To fit size approx:- 0 - 3 month baby  

Skirt length from waist approx 8 inches

Materials

80 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 1

10 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colours 2 & 3

4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

TENSION - 5dc and 5 rows measures approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Waistband - With 4.00mm hook and colour 1 make 11ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. (10dc)

Next Row - Working into back loop of stitch only make 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

Rpt last row until 80 rows have been worked in all. DNT.

Fold waistband in half and with WS facing ss cast on edge and the last row you worked together to make a circle. Do not fasten off.

Skirt - Using 4.50mm hook and working along the side of the waistband and into the row ends, work 1ch, 1dc into each row end to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row to make a round. Turn. (80dc)

Next Row - 1ch, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, miss dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (40dc groups)

Pattern Row - ss over next 2dc, * (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next 2ch space, miss 4dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 15, dc group rows have been worked. Fasten off.

Working dc group into first 2ch space, work Pattern Row once in colour 2, once in colour 3 and twice in colour 1. Fasten off.

Chain Tie - Using colour 3 with 5.00mm hook make 101ch. Fasten off.

Make 2 small pom-poms in colour 2, I used the clover pom-pom maker size 20

Finishing - Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, starting on the front of skirt thread chain tie through alternate dc's around centre of waistband, (optional start/finish I put mine on the side of the skirt) attach a pom-pom to each end.
