135 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in colour 1

45 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in colour 2

15 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in colour 3

OR

5oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 yarn in color 1

1.6oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 in color 2

0.6oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 in color 3

5.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks

GAUGE - 5dc and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

With 5.00mm hook and color 1 ch78 loosely, 1dc in 3rd ch from hook, (RS) 1dc in each ch to end. Turn. Fasten off. (76dc)

Row 2 - Join in contrast color ch1, 1sc in base of 1ch, * ch2, skip 2dc, 1sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off. Turn.

Row 3 - Join in color 1, ch2, 1dc in base of ch2, * 2dc in next ch2 space, 1dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

Row 4 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end. Turn.

Row 5 - ch2, 1dc in base of ch2, 1dc in each sc to end. Turn. Fasten off.

Rpt Pattern Rows 2 to 5, alternating contrast colors 2 and 3 on Row 2 eleven more times or until work measures approx 17 Inches in all.

Work Rows 2 & 3 once.

Change to 4.50mm hook.

Border - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, 3sc in corner, work 64sc evenly in row ends down first side of blanket, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each ch along cast on edge, 3sc in corner, work 64sc evenly in row ends up second side of blanket, sl st to next sc. Turn.

Starting with ch2, 1dc in base of ch2, work 1dc in each sc to end, working 3dc in corners, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each dc to end, working 3sc in corners, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn.

Using color 3, rpt last row twice. Fasten off. Turn.

Frill - Join in color 2 to any 3ch space on a corner, ch2, (3dc, 3ch, 3dc) in same space, * 2dc in next sc, 3dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to end, working (3dc, 3ch, 3dc) in each 3ch space on corners. Turn.

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each dc to end, work 3sc in each 3ch space on corners, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim.
