45 grams of King Cole melody in sprinkle (1567)

OR

1.58oz of Variegated Light Worsted Weight #3 Yarn

4.00mm crochet hook

GAUGE - 5dc and 2 rows of dc measures approx 1”

Frilly Hat - With 4.00mm hook ch6, sl st to first ch to make a ring, ch3, work 13dc in ring, sl st to top of ch3. Turn. (13dc + ch3)

 

2nd Round - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3. Turn. (27dc + ch3)

 

3rd Round - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, * 1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, * rpt from

* to * to last dc, 1dc in last dc, sl st to top of ch3. Turn. (41dc + ch3)

 

4th Round - ch3, 1dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, * 1dc in each of next 2dc, 2dc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3. Turn. (55dc + ch3)

5th Round - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, * 1dc in each of next 3dc, 2dc in next dc

* rpt from * to * to last 3dc, 1dc in each of last 3dc, sl st to top of ch3. Turn.

(69dc + ch3)

 

Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of round. Turn. Rpt last row six more times, making 12 rounds in all.

 

Brim - Working in back loop of stitch only, work ch3, 2dc in base of ch3, 3dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of round. Turn. (209dc + ch3)

Next Row - Working through both loops from now on ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of round. Turn. Rpt last row once. Fasten off.

Finishing - Sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn, thread ribbon through alternate dc’s above and around top of brim.
