Using 4.00mm hook and color 1, ch55, work 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in the next
6ch's, (front), 3dc in next ch, 1dc in next 8ch's, (shoulder), 3dc in next ch, 1dc
in the next 17ch's, (back), 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 8ch's, (shoulder), 3dc
in next ch, 1dc in the next 8ch's, (front). Turn. (60dc + ch3)
2nd Row - ch3, 1dc in the next 8dc, 3dc in next dc, 1dc in next 10dc, 3dc in next
dc, 1dc in the next 19dc, 3dc in next dc, 1dc in the next 10dc, 3dc in the next dc,
1dc in the next 8dc, 1dc top of ch3. Turn. (68dc + ch3)

2dc, 1 shell in next dc, * rpt from * to * 4 more times, skip 2dc, 1 shell in corner,
skip next 28dc, 1 shell in next corner, rpt from * to * 12 more times, skip 1dc,
1 shell in corner, skip 28dc, 1 shell in last corner, skip 1dc, 1 shell in next dc,
rpt from * to * 5 more times, skip 1dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (28 shell groups)
1st Row - ch3, 1 vst (see abbrev) in centre of each shell to end, 1dc in top of ch3.
Turn. (28 Vst)
2nd Row - ch3, 1 shell in each ch2 space of vst to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
The last 2 rows form pattern, rpt both 1st & 2nd Pattern Rows three more times each.
Change to 4.50mm hook and rpt both pattern rows a further twice more. Fasten off.
Join in color 2, work 1st Row of pattern once. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, sl st in base of ch1, * work (1sc, 5dc, 1sc) in ch2 space on vst,
* rpt from * to * to last ch3 to turn, sl st in top of ch3. Fasten off.
Sleeves x 2 - With 4.00mm hook and with RS facing, rejoin color 1 at corner of armhole
edge, ch3, skip 1dc, 1 shell in next dc, * skip 2dc, 1 shell in next dc, * rpt from
* to * 7 more times, skip 2dc, 1dc in corner, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of
row. Turn. (9 shell groups)
Rpt 1st & 2nd Pattern Rows four more times each, turning and sl st to top of ch3
on the end of each row. Turn. Fasten off.
Next Row - Join in color 2, work 1st Row of pattern once, sl st to top of ch3 on
beginning of row. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, sl st in base of ch1, * work (1sc, 5dc, 1sc) in ch2 space on vst,
* rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Front Borders - Starting at lower edge on right hand front edge, with RS facing,
color 1 and 4.00mm hook, work 45sc evenly up front edge, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each
ch around neck edge, 3sc in corner, 45sc evenly down left front edge. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, work 1sc in each sc to neck edge. Turn. Rpt last row once working
from neck edge down to end. Fasten off.
Buttonholes - With 4.00mm hook return to right front, rejoin color 1 to centre sc
on neck edge, work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in next 7sc, * rpt
from * to * once more, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc and ch2 space to end. Fasten off.
Collar - With WS facing working in back loop of stitch, using 4.50mm hook and color
1, skip 3 rows on front edge band, rejoin yarn to next sc, ch3, skip 1sc, 1 shell
in next sc, * skip 2sc, 1 shell in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 2sc before
3 rows on front edge band, skip 1sc, 1dc in last sc. Turn. (17 shell groups)
Working through both loops from now on, rpt 1st & 2nd Pattern Rows once. Fasten off.
Join in color 2 and work 1st Row once. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, sl st in base of ch1, * (1sc, 5dc, 1sc) in next ch2 space on vst,
* rpt from * to * to end, sl st in top of ch3. Fasten off.
Finishing - Close small gap underarms, sew in and tie off ends, sew on buttons to
correspond with buttonholes.
Pants - Using 4.50mm hook and color 2 ch90, sl st to first ch to form a ring (RS)
change to 4.00mm hook, ch3, 1dc in each ch to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of row. Turn. (89dc + ch3)
Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row 9 more times until 11 rows have been worked in all. Turn.
Divide for legs - ch3, 1dc in next 44dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row.
Turn. Continue on these 45st, slip stitching at the end of each row until 10 rows
have been worked for first leg in all from division. Turn.
Next Row - ch3, skip 1dc, * work vst in next dc, skip 2dc, * rpt from * to * to last
3dc, skip 2dc, 1dc in next dc, ch2, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
(15 vst)
Next Row - ch1, * (1sc, 5dc, 1sc) in next ch2 space, * rpt from * to * to end, sl
st to first sc. Fasten off. (15 groups)
Second Leg - Return to remaining stitches at division, re-join color 2 to next dc
and continue in the same way as first leg. Fasten off.
With WS of work facing, and starting with ch1 work 90sc evenly along cast on edge
at waist, sl st to first sc. Turn. Work two more rows in sc on these 90sc, sl st
at end of each row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew in and tie of loose ends of yarn. Close small gap at division of
legs. Thread Ribbon through alternate dc's on waist and bottom of legs and tie with
bows.
Pom-Pom Hat - With 4.00mm hook and color 2, ch71, sl st to first ch to form a ring,
ch3, 1dc in each ch, to end. Turn (70dc + ch3). Starting with ch3, sl st and turning
at the end of each row, work 10 more dc rows, making 11 rows in all. Turn.
Brim - Working through back loop of stitch only using 3.50mm hook, work ch3, 1dc
in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
1st Row - Working through both loops from now on ch5, 1dc in base of ch5, * skip
2dc, vst in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, skip last dc, sl st to 3rd of
ch5. Turn. (24vst)
2nd Row - ch1, * work (1sc, 5dc, 1sc) in next ch2 space, * rpt from * to * to end,
sl st to first sc. Turn. Fasten off (24 Groups)
Turn back brim onto RS of hat. With 4.00mm hook, RS facing and color 2 work one row
of crab stitch (see abbrev) in loose loops on base of brim.
Make a pom-pom with the Clover Pom-Pom maker size 45 in colour 1.
Finishing - Sew in and tie of loose ends of yarn, gather top of hat at crown and
attach pom-pom.
