Start with Yoke - (worked in one piece)
Using 4.00mm hook and colour 1, make 55ch, work 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into
the next 6ch, (front), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into next 8ch, (shoulder), 3tr into
next ch, 1tr into the next 17ch, (back), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 8ch,
(shoulder), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 8ch, (front). Turn. (60tr + 3ch)
2nd Row - 3ch, 1tr into the next 8tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into next 10tr, 3tr into
next tr, 1tr into the next 19tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into the next 10tr, 3tr into
the next tr, 1tr into the next 8tr, 1tr top of 3ch. Turn. (68tr + 3ch)
3rd Row - 3ch, 1tr into the next 9tr, 3tr into next tr, 1tr into next 12tr, 3tr into

Commence Skirt - (Divide for Armholes)
Make 3ch, 1 shell (see abbrev) into next tr, * miss 2tr, 1 shell into next tr, *
rpt from * to * 4 more times, miss 2tr, 1 shell into corner, miss next 28tr, 1 shell
into next corner, rpt from * to * 12 more times, miss 1tr, 1 shell into corner, miss
28tr, 1 shell into last corner, miss 1tr, 1 shell into next tr, rpt from * to * 5
more times, miss 1tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (28 shell groups)
1st Row - 3ch, 1 vst (see abbrev) into centre of each shell to end, 1tr into top
of 3ch. Turn. (28 Vst)
2nd Row - 3ch, 1 shell into each 2ch space of vst to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
The last 2 rows form pattern, rpt both 1st & 2nd Pattern Rows three more times each.
Change to 4.50mm hook and rpt both pattern rows a further twice more. Fasten off.
Join in colour 2, work 1st Row of pattern once. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * work (1dc, 5tr, 1dc) into 2ch space on vst,
* rpt from * to * to last 3ch to turn, ss into top of 3ch. Fasten off.
Sleeves x 2 - With 4.00mm hook and with RS facing, rejoin colour 1 at corner of armhole
edge, 3ch, miss 1tr, 1 shell into next tr, * miss 2tr, 1 shell into next tr, * rpt
from * to * 7 more times, miss 2tr, 1tr into corner, ss to top of 3ch on beginning
of row. Turn. (9 shell groups)
Rpt 1st & 2nd Pattern Rows four more times each, turning and ss to top of 3ch on
the end of each row. Turn. Fasten off.
Next Row - Join in colour 2, work 1st Row of pattern once, ss to top of 3ch on beginning
of row. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * work (1dc, 5tr, 1dc) into 2ch space on vst,
* rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Front Borders - Starting at lower edge on right hand front edge, with RS facing,
colour 1 and 4.00mm hook, work 45dc evenly up front edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into
each ch around neck edge, 3dc into corner, 45dc evenly down left front edge. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to neck edge. Turn. Rpt last row once working
from neck edge down to end. Fasten off.
Buttonholes - With 4.00mm hook return to right front, rejoin colour 1 to centre dc
on neck edge, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next 7dc,
* rpt from * to * once more, 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end. Fasten
off.
Collar - With WS facing working into back loop of stitch, using 4.50mm hook and colour
1, miss 3 rows on front edge band, rejoin yarn to next dc, 3ch, miss 1dc, 1 shell
into next dc, * miss 2dc, 1 shell into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc before
3 rows on front edge band, miss 1dc, 1tr into last dc. Turn. (17 shell groups)
Working through both loops from now on, rpt 1st & 2nd Pattern Rows once. Fasten off.
Join in colour 2 and work 1st Row once. Turn.
Next Row - Make 1ch, ss into base of 1ch, * (1dc, 5tr, 1dc) into next 2ch space on
vst, * rpt from * to * to end, ss into top of 3ch. Fasten off.
Finishing - Close small gap underarms, sew in and tie off ends, sew on buttons to
correspond with buttonholes.
Pants - Using 4.50mm Hook and colour 2 make 90ch, ss to first ch to form a ring (RS)
change to 4.00mm hook, 3ch, 1tr in each ch to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning
of row. Turn. (89tr + 3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row 9 more times until 11 rows have been worked in all. Turn.
Divide for legs - 3ch, 1tr into next 44tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.
Turn. Continue on these 45st, slip stitching at the end of each row until 10 rows
have been worked for first leg in all from division. Turn.
Next Row - Make 3ch, miss 1tr, * work vst into next tr, miss 2tr, * rpt from * to
* to last 3tr, miss 2tr, 1tr into next tr, 2ch, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of
row. Turn. (15 vst)
Next Row - 1ch, * (1dc, 5tr, 1dc) into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end,
ss to first dc. Fasten off. (15 groups)
Second Leg - Return to remaining stitches at division, re-join colour 2 to next tr
and continue in the same way as first leg. Fasten off.
With WS of work facing, and starting with 1ch work 90dc evenly along cast on edge
at waist, ss to first dc. Turn. Work two more rows in dc on these 90dc, ss at end
of each row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew in and tie of loose ends of yarn. Close small gap at division of
legs. Thread Ribbon through alternate tr's on waist and bottom of legs and tie with
bows.
Pom-Pom Hat - With 4.00mm hook and colour 2, make 71ch, ss to first ch to form a
ring, 3ch, 1tr into each ch, to end. Turn (70tr + 3ch). Starting with 3ch, ss and
turning at the end of each row, work 10 more tr rows, making 11 rows in all. Turn.
Brim - Working through back loop of stitch only using 3.50mm hook, work 3ch, 1tr
into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.
1st Row - Working through both loops from now on make 5ch, 1tr into base of 5ch,
* miss 2tr, vst into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, miss last tr, ss to 3rd
of 5ch. Turn. (24vst).
2nd Row - 1ch, * work (1dc, 5tr, 1dc) into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end,
ss to first dc. Turn. Fasten off (24 Groups)
Turn back brim onto RS of hat. With 4.00mm hook, RS facing and colour 2 work one
row of crab stitch (see abbrev) into loose loops on base of brim.
Make a pom-pom with the Clover Pom-Pom maker size 45 in colour 1.
Finishing - Sew in and tie of loose ends of yarn, gather top of hat at crown and
attach pom-pom.
