75 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 1
25 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 2
4.00mm crochet hook, 3 buttons
TENSION - 5tr and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Cardigan
Back - With colour 1 make 41ch loosely, 1tr into 4th ch from hook 1tr into each ch
to end. Turn. (38tr + 3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Rpt last row until 9 rows have been worked. Fasten off.
First Front - # With colour 1 make 20ch loosely, 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into
each tr to end. Turn. (17tr + 3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Rpt last row until 6 rows have been worked. # Turn.
Shape Neck - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 13tr, turn leaving 3tr + 3ch un-worked. (13tr
+ 3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, dec 1tr (see abbrev) over next 2tr, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr
into top of 3ch. Turn. (12tr + 3ch)
Starting with 3ch, work 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Fasten off.
Second Front - Rpt from # to # on first front. Fasten off.
Shape Neck - Miss 4tr, rejoin colour 1 to next tr, make 3ch, 1tr into each tr to
end. Turn. (13tr + 3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 10tr, dec 1tr over next 2tr, 1tr into top of
3ch. Turn. (12tr + 3ch)
Starting with 3ch, work 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Fasten off.
Join shoulder seams.
Skirt
With WS facing, working along cast on ch, join in colour 1 to beginning of first
front, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each of next 16ch, 2dc into last
ch, miss armhole, 2dc into first ch on back, 1dc into each of next 37ch, 2dc into
last ch, miss armhole, 2dc into first ch on second front, 1dc into each of next 17ch.
Turn. (79dc)
Pattern Row 1 - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2dc, * 1pc into next dc, (see abbrev)
1tr into each of next 5dc, * rpt from * to * to last 4dc, 1pc into next dc, 1tr into
each of last 3dc. Turn. (13 popcorns)
Pattern Row 2 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and pc to end. Turn.

Pattern Row 3 - 3ch, 4tr into base of 3ch, drop the loop from your hook, working
through top of 3ch, pick up dropped loop and pull through, 1ch, * 1tr into each of
next 5dc, 1pc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (14 popcorns)
Pattern Row 4 - Rpt Pattern Row 2. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 to 4 once. Fasten off.
Join in colour 2, rpt Pattern Rows 1 to 4 once. Fasten off.
Join in colour 1, rpt Pattern Rows 1 to 4 once.
Button/Buttonhole Border - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to last dc,
3dc into last dc, working along first front edge and into row ends work 30dc evenly
along to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of next 3dc, 5dc evenly along side
of neck to shoulder, 1dc into each tr along back of neck, 5dc evenly along side of
neck, 1dc into each of next 3dc, 3dc into top of 3ch, work 30dc evenly along second
front edge to corner, 1dc into corner, ss to fist dc. Turn.
Buttonhole Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to corner, 3dc into
corner, 1dc into each dc around neck to next corner, 1dc into corner, * make 2ch,
miss 1ch, 1dc into each of next 4dc, * rpt from * to * once, 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into
each dc to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each dc along bottom of cardigan to
next corner, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Fasten off.
Rejoin colour 1 to RS of bottom edge on buttonhole band, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch,
1dc into each dc and 2ch space to neck edge. Fasten off.
Return to neck edge on button band, with colour 1 and starting with 1ch, work 1dc
into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.
Sleeves x 2 - With WS facing join colour 1 to tr on base of armhole, make 1ch, work
36dc evenly into row ends around armhole edge, ss to first dc on beginning of row.
Turn.
Row 1 - 3ch, 4tr into base of 3ch, drop the loop from your hook, working through
top of 3ch, pick up dropped loop and pull through, 1ch, * 1tr into each of next 5dc,
1pc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 5dc, 1tr into each of last 5dc, ss to
top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (6 popcorns)
Row 2 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and pc to end. Fasten off. Turn.
(36dc)
Row 3 - Join in colour 2, make 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2dc, * 1pc into next tr,
1tr into each of next 5dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc, 1pc into next dc, 1tr into
each of last 2dc, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.
Row 4 - Rpt Row 2.
Rows 5 and 6 - Rpt Rows 1 and 2. Fasten off. Turn.
Cuff - Join in colour 1, work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end,
ss to first dc. Turn.
Rpt last row once. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, attach buttons to correspond
with buttonholes.
Flower - (Made in rounds without turning) With colour 2 make magic circle, 3ch, 12tr
into circle, pull loose thread to close, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.
2nd Row - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 2dc into each tr to end. (26dc)
3rd Row - 1ch, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into
next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, miss dc, ss to first dc. Fasten off.
Headband - With colour 2 make 59ch loosely, ss to first ch to make a ring, work 1ch,
1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (59dc)
Popcorn Row - 3ch, 4tr into base of 3ch, drop the loop from your hook, working through
top of 3ch, pick up dropped loop and pull through, 1ch, * 1tr into each of next 5dc,
1pc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 5dc, 1tr into each of last 5dc, ss to
top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (10 popcorns)
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and pc to end. Fasten off.
Fasten off. Turn. (59dc)
With colour 1 and starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc
to end, ss to first dc on beginning of each row.
Rpt last row once. Fasten off.
Rpt last 2 rows around cast on edge. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
