75 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 1
25 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 2
OR
2.65oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Colour 1
1oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Colour 2
4.00mm crochet hook, 3 buttons
GAUGE - 5dc and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Cardigan
Back - With colour 1 ch41 loosely, 1dc in 4th ch from hook 1dc in each ch to end.
Turn. (38dc + ch3)
Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
Rpt last row until 9 rows have been worked. Fasten off.
First Front - # With colour 1 ch20 loosely, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each
dc to end. Turn. (17dc + ch3)
Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
Rpt last row until 6 rows have been worked. # Turn.
Shape Neck - ch3, 1dc in each of next 13dc, turn leaving 3dc + ch3 un-worked. (13dc
+ ch3)
Next Row - ch3, dec 1dc (see abbrev) over next 2dc, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in
top of ch3. Turn. (12dc + ch3)
Starting with ch3, work 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Fasten off.
Second Front - Rpt from # to # on first front. Fasten off.
Shape Neck - Skip 4dc, rejoin colour 1 to next dc, ch3, 1dc in each dc to end. Turn.
(13dc + ch3)
Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each of next 10dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc in top of ch3.
Turn. (12dc + ch3)
Starting with ch3, work 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Fasten off.
Join shoulder seams.
Skirt
With WS facing, working along cast on ch, join in colour 1 to beginning of first
front, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each of next 16ch, 2sc in last ch, skip
armhole, 2sc in first ch on back, 1sc in each of next 37ch, 2sc in last ch, skip
armhole, 2sc in first ch on second front, 1sc in each of next 17ch. Turn. (79sc)
Pattern Row 1 - ch3, 1dc in each of next 2sc, * 1pc in next sc, (see abbrev) 1dc
in each of next 5sc, * rpt from * to * to last 4sc, 1pc in next sc, 1dc in each of
last 3sc. Turn. (13 popcorns)
Pattern Row 2 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc and pc to end. Turn. (79sc)
Pattern Row 3 - ch3, 4dc in base of ch3, drop the loop from your hook, working through
top of ch3, pick up dropped loop and pull through, ch1, * 1dc in each of next 5sc,
1pc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (14 popcorns)
Pattern Row 4 - Rpt Pattern Row 2. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 to 4 once. Fasten off.
Join in colour 2, rpt Pattern Rows 1 to 4 once. Fasten off.
Join in colour 1, rpt Pattern Rows 1 to 4 once.
Button/Buttonhole Border - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to last sc, 3sc
in last sc, working along first front edge and in row ends work 30sc evenly along
to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each of next 3sc, 5sc evenly along side of neck
to shoulder, 1sc in each dc along back of neck, 5sc evenly along side of neck, 1sc
in each of next 3sc, 3sc in top of ch3, work 30sc evenly along second front edge
to corner, 1sc in corner, sl st to fist sc. Turn.
Buttonhole Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to corner, 3sc in corner,
1sc in each sc around neck to next corner, 1sc in corner, * ch2, skip ch1, 1sc in
each of next 4sc, * rpt from * to * once, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each sc to corner,
3sc in corner, 1sc in each sc along bottom of cardigan to next corner, 1sc in corner,
sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
Rejoin colour 1 to RS of bottom edge on buttonhole band, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1,
1sc in each sc and ch2 space to neck edge. Fasten off.
Return to neck edge on button band, with colour 1 and starting with ch1, work 1sc
in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Fasten off.
Sleeves x 2 - With WS facing join colour 1 to dc on base of armhole, ch1, work 36sc
evenly in row ends around armhole edge, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.
Row 1 - ch3, 4dc in base of ch3, drop the loop from your hook, working through top
of ch3, pick up dropped loop and pull through, ch1, * 1dc in each of next 5sc, 1pc
in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 5sc, 1dc in each of last 5sc, sl st to top
of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (6 popcorns)
Row 2 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc and pc to end. Fasten off. Turn.
(36sc)
Row 3 - Join in colour 2, ch3, 1dc in each of next 2sc, * 1pc in next dc, 1dc in
each of next 5sc, * rpt from * to * to last 3sc, 1pc in next sc, 1dc in each of last
2sc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
Row 4 - Rpt Row 2.
Rows 5 and 6 - Rpt Rows 1 and 2. Fasten off. Turn.
Cuff - Join in colour 1, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to
first sc. Turn.
Rpt last row once. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, attach buttons to correspond
with buttonholes.
Flower - (Made in rounds without turning) With colour 2 make magic circle, ch3, 12dc
in circle, pull loose thread to close, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row.
2nd Row - ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 2sc in each dc to end. (26sc)
3rd Row - ch1, (1sc, ch3, 1sc) in base of ch1, * skip 1sc, (1sc, ch3, 1sc) in next
sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, skip sc, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
Headband - With colour 2 ch59 loosely, sl st to first ch to make a ring, ch1, 1sc
in base of ch1, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (59sc)
Popcorn Row - ch3, 4dc in base of ch3, drop the loop from your hook, working through
top of ch3, pick up dropped loop and pull through, ch1, * 1dc in each of next 5sc,
1pc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 5sc, 1dc in each of last 5sc, sl st to
top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (10 popcorns)
Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc and pc to end. Fasten off. Fasten
off. Turn. (59sc)
With colour 1 and starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc to end,
sl st to first sc on beginning of each row.
Rpt last row once. Fasten off.
Rpt last 2 rows around cast on edge. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
