Dec 1sc. Pull up a loop from each of the next 2sc,
yo and pull through 3 loops.
Base of ch. Work in first stitch
Size to fit approx: 6-12 month Baby
Materials
Small amount of King Cole big value baby DK in colors 1 & 2
OR
Small amounts of Light Worsted Weight #3 in colors 1 & 2
4.00mm crochet hook, 2 small buttons
GAUGE - 5hdc and 3 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Sole - With color 1 ch13, 3dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in next 8ch, 6dc in last ch,
working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1dc in next 8ch, 3dc in last ch, sl
st to first dc on beginning of row. (28dc). DNT.
Row 2 - ch3, work 2dc in each of next 3dc, 1dc in next 8dc, 2dc in each of next 6dc,
1dc in next 8dc, 2dc in each of last 3dc, sl st to first dc on beginning of row.
(40dc). DNT.
Row 3 - Working in back loops of stitch only, ch1, 1hdc in each dc to end, sl st
to first hdc on beginning of row. DNT. (40hdc)
Row 4 - Working through both loops from now on, ch1, 1hdc in each hdc to end, sl
st to first hdc on beginning of row. DNT.
Row 5 - Rpt Row 4. Fasten off. Turn at the end of Row 5.
Instep
With WS facing and counting from where you fastened off, skip 10hdc, rejoin yarn
with a sl st to next hdc, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next 19sc. Turn leaving
10hdc un-worked. (20sc)
Next Row - (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, (see abbrev)
9 times, 1sc in last sc. Turn. (11sc)
Next Row - (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 5 times. Turn.
(6sc)
Next Row - ch1, pull up a loop from each of next 6sc, yo and pull through all 7 loops
on hook to close, ch1. Fasten off.
Top - With RS facing, toe towards you, join color 1 to top of instep, work 8sc evenly
along top of instep. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 4 more rows of 1sc in each sc to end.
(8sc). Fasten off.
Front Strap x 2 - With color 2, ch10, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to
end, ch4, (this will be button loop) working along opposite side of cast ch, work
1sc in each ch to end, sl st to first sc. Fasten off leaving a length of yarn to
sew with.
Finishing - Attach straps putting button loop to the outside of each loafer, sew
in and tie off loose ends of yarn, attach a button to each loafer and fasten through
button loop.
