Leaving last loop of each dc on hook,
work 1dc in each of next 2 dc,
yo draw through all 3 loops.
Dec 1hdc.
Insert hook in next stitch and pull through loop, insert hook in next stitch and
pull through loop, yo and pull through all three loops on hook
Base of ch. Work in first stitch
ch3 counts as first dc

Materials
Small amount of King Cole big value baby 4 ply in Colors 1 & 2
OR
Small amounts of Sport Weight in Colors 1 & 2
3.50mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks, 2 Buttons
GAUGE - 6dc and 3 rows measures approx 1 Inch using 3.50mm hook

Commence with Sole - With 3.50mm hook and color 1, ch12, 3dc in 4th ch from hook,
1dc in next 7ch, 8dc in last ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1dc
in next 7ch, 4dc in last ch, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. DNT (29dc +
ch3)
Row 2 - ch3, work 2dc in each of next 3dc, 1dc in each of next 9dc, 2dc in each of
next 6dc, 1dc in next 9dc, 2dc in each of last 2dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of row. DNT (40dc + ch3)
Row 3 - ch2, 1hdc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch2 on beginning of row. DNT.
(40hdc + ch2) Fasten off.
Row 4 - Join in color 2, working through back loop of stitch, ch1, 1dc in base of
ch1, 1sc in each hdc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (41sc)
Row 5 - Working through both loops from now on ch3, 1dc in each sc to end, sl st
to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (40dc + ch3)
Instep - (Dec Row) ch3, 1dc in each of next 13dc, dec 1dc (see abbrev) over next
2dc, 7 times, 1dc in each of next 13dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row.
Turn. (33dc + ch3).
Row 7 - (Dec Row) ch2, 1hdc in each of next 11dc, dec 1hdc (see abbrev) over next
2dc, 5 times, 1hdc in each of next 12dc, sl st to top of ch2 on beginning of row.
(28hdc + ch2). Fasten off.
With 4.50mm hook and sole of shoe facing you, starting at back of shoe, rejoin color
1 with a sl st and work 1 row of sc all around sole of shoe in loose loops. Fasten
off.
Left Ankle strap - With 3.50mm hook and color 2, ch17, 1dc in 6th ch from hook, 1dc
in next 11ch, rejoin to shoe 7st’s before back seam, work 1dc in each of next 7hdc,
1dc in top of ch2 on back seam, 1dc in next 8hdc. Fasten off.
T-Bar - Working over centre 3hdc on front of shoe, rejoin color 2 to first hdc, ch3,
1dc in next 2hdc. Turn.
Next Row - ch3, 1dc in next dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
Rpt last row until 7 rows have been worked. Fasten off.
Fold bar onto WS of work (inside of shoe) and tack down in place.
Right Ankle strap - With 3.50mm hook rejoin color 2 with a sl st to shoe 8st’s before
back seam, ch3, 1dc in next 7hdc, 1dc in top of ch3, 1dc in next 7hdc, ch17, 1dc
in 6th ch from hook, 1dc in next 11ch, sl st to base of dc. Fasten off.
Work T-Bar same as left shoe.
Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim, sew on buttons to side of shoes,
thread straps through loop of T-Bar and fasten button through the ch5 loop.
