Base of ch. Work into first stitch

To fit size approx:  3-6 Months

Materials

25 grams of King Cole big value baby 4 ply in Colour 1

Small amount of King Cole big value baby 4ply in Colour 2

3.50mm crochet hook

2 small buttons

TENSION - 5htr and 4 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Made in one piece.

Foot - With colour 1, make 29ch, 1htr into 2nd ch from hook, 1htr into each ch to end. Turn. (28htr)

Row 2 - 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 1htr into each htr to end. Turn.

Row 3 to 18 - Rpt Row 2. DNT.

Instep - Working into row ends down side of foot, work 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 14htr evenly over next 10 row ends, turn leaving 8 row ends un-worked.

Next Row - Working into back loop only on the 15htr of instep, work Row 2 in following sequence:-

Once in colour 1

Twice in colour 2

Twice in colour 1

Twice in colour 2

Twice in colour 1

Twice in colour 2

Twice in colour 1

Twice in colour 2

Twice in colour 1

You should have worked 18 rows in all. Fasten off leaving a length of yarn.

Fold over the instep to opposite side of foot and whip stitch together using length of yarn. (see pic)

Gather top and bottom of instep, whip stitch along open seam on bottom of foot to close. (see pic)

Finishing - Weave in any ends of loose yarn and trim, turn through to RS, turn down cuff, attach small button to front of boots.
