With 4.50mm hook ch134, (WS) work 1dc in 4th ch from hook, * ch3, skip 3ch, 1dc in
each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (26, ch3 spaces)
Next Row - ch3, skip next dc and ch1, * 5dc in next ch, skip next (ch1, 2dc and ch1),
* rpt from * to * to last ch3 space, dc and ch3, 5dc in centre ch of ch3 space, skip
1dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (26, 5dc groups)
Pattern Row 1 - ch3, 1dc in next dc, * ch3, skip 3dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, *
rpt from * to * to end, working last dc in top of ch3. Turn.
Pattern Row 2 - ch3, skip next dc and ch1, * 5dc in next ch, skip next (ch1, 2dc
and ch1), * rpt from * to * to last ch3 space, dc and ch3, 5dc in centre ch of ch3
space, skip 1dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 until 20, 5dc group rows have been worked.

Double Crochet Edge - Change to 4.00mm hook, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next
dc, 2sc in ch3 space, * 1sc in each of next 2dc, 1sc in ch3 space, * rpt from * to
* to end, 1sc in next sc, 3sc in corner, work 79sc evenly in row ends down first
side of blanket to next corner, 3sc in corner, working along cast on edge work 1sc
in next dc, 1sc in next ch3 space, rpt from * to * to end, 1sc in next dc, 3sc in
corner, work 79sc evenly in row ends up second side of blanket, 1sc in corner, sl
st to first sc. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1 more row of 1sc in each sc, working
3sc in corners, sl st to first sc. Turn.
Shell Edge Worked without turning throughout - ch4, 2dc in base of ch4, * skip 2sc,
(2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * around all 4 sides of blanket to end,
1dc in base of ch4 on beginning of row, sl st to 3rd of ch4.
2nd Row - sl st in ch1 space, ch4, 2dc in same space, (2dc, ch1, 2dc in each ch1
space around blanket to end, 1dc in base of ch4, sl st to 3rd of ch4.
3rd Row - ch3, (2dc, ch1, 3dc) in base of ch3, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in each ch1 space
to next corner, * (3dc, ch1, 3dc) in ch1 space on corner, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in each
ch1 space to next corner, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of row.
4th Row - ch3, (3dc, ch2, 4dc) in base of ch3, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in each ch1 space
to next corner, * (4dc, ch2, 4dc) in ch1 space on corner, (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in each
ch1 space to next corner, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in loose ends of yarn.
