Appliqué Flower - Made in rounds without turning, using colour 2 make a magic circle,
with 3.50mm hook make 1ch, work 10dc into ring, pull loose yarn to close circle ss
to first dc on beginning of row.
Round 2 - 1ch, 2dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. (20dc)
Round 3 - 6ch, 1tr into base of 6ch, * miss 1dc, (1tr, 3ch, 1tr) into next dc, *
rpt from * to * to last dc, miss last dc, ss to 3rd of 6ch on beginning of row. (10,
Round 4 - 1ch, * (1dc, 1htr, 4tr, 1htr, 1dc) into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to

Button Cover - With 3.50mm hook, make 8ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each
ch to end. Turn. (7dc)
Work in dc on these stitches until you have 6 rows in all, fasten off leaving a length
of yarn (to gather and attach to flower).
Thread yarn evenly all around four sides through dc's, place medium size button in
center and gather around it tightly, secure so that button cannot break free.
Attach covered button over centre of the appliqué.
Finishing - Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie through
