145 grams of King Cole big value baby DK  in turquoise (018) colour 1

100 grams of King Cole big value baby DK  in white (001) colour 2

170 grams of King Cole big value baby DK  in apple (292) colour 3

6.00mm & 5.50mm Crochet Hooks


TENSION - 4dc & 5 rows of dc's measures approx 1 Inch using 5.50mm hook

Using 6.00mm hook and colour 1 make 157ch, change to 5.50mm hook, 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into next ch, * make 2ch, miss 2ch, 1dc into next ch, make 2ch, miss 2ch, 1tr into each of next 3ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (19dc).


Next Row - (RS) make 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * miss 2ch, 1tr into next dc, 3ch, work 3tr around the post of the last tr made, miss 2ch, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (19, post 3tr groups)

 

Pattern Row 1 - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2ch, miss 3tr, 1dc into top of 3ch on post 3tr group, 2ch, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

 

Pattern Row 2 - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * miss 2ch, 1tr into next dc, 3ch, work 3tr around the post of the last tr made, miss 2ch, 1tr into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, 1dc to base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 2tr, * make 2ch, miss 3tr, 1dc into top of 3ch on post 3tr group, 2ch, 1dc into each of next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last dc into top of 3ch. Fasten off. Turn.


Edging - Join in colour 2 to first dc, make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * 2dc into 2ch space, miss 1dc, 2dc into next 2ch space, 1dc into each of next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to end, work 3dc into last dc, work 138dc evenly down first side of blanket to corner (working into row ends) 3dc into corner.


Working along cast on edge, work 1dc into each of next 2ch, * 2dc into 2ch space, miss 1dc, 2dc into next 2ch space, 1dc into each of next 3ch, * rpt from * to * to end, work 3dc into last ch, working again into row ends, work 138dc evenly along up second side of blanket to corner, 1dc into base of 1ch, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.


Next Row - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc along the four sides of blanket, working 3dc into corners, 1dc into base of 1ch, ss to first dc on the beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.


Join in colour 3, Rpt last row twice.


Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * around four sides of blanket to last dc, make 2ch, miss last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.


Next Row - 3ch, 2tr into first 2ch space, * miss 1dc, 1dc into next 2ch space, miss 1dc, 3tr into next 2ch space, rpt from * to * around four sides of blanket, ending with 1dc into last stitch, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off.


Finishing - Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
