Base of ch. Work in first stitch

ch3 counts as first dc

To fit size approx: 6 - 12 months

Materials

10 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in pink (006) color 1

5 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in lilac (017) color 2

OR

Small amount of Light Worsted Weight #3 yarn in color 1

Small amount of Light Worsted Weight #3 yarn in color 2

4.00mm crochet hooks

GAUGE - 2dc rpt's and 2 rows measures approx 1”

Headband -  With 4.00mm hook and color 1  ch79 loosely, 1dc in 4th ch from hook, * ch1, skip 1ch, 1dc in each of next 2ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (25, 1ch spaces)

Next Row - ch3, 1dc in next dc, * ch1, skip ch1, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, working last dc in top of ch3. Turn.

Rpt last row once. Turn.

Edging - ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc and ch1 space to ch3 to turn with, 3sc in top of ch3, working down side of headband, work 2sc in each row end to next corner, 3sc in corner, working along cast on edge work 1sc in each ch to next corner, 3sc in corner, work 2sc in each row end up second side of headband to corner, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in loose ends of yarn, attach button to end and fasten through gaps in dc's.

Bow - With color 2 ch13, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (12sc)

Starting with ch1 and turning at the end of each row work 13 more rows of sc. Turn.

Fold work in half length ways, using back loop of sc and working in each of the starting ch, sl st last row and cast on edge together to make a round. Fasten off.

Weave in ends and turn through to RS.

Centre Band - With color 2 ch4, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (3sc)

Starting with ch1 and turning at the end of each row work 6 more rows of sc. Turn.

Fold centre band around bow length ways, using back loop of sc and working in each of the starting ch, sl st last row and cast on edge together to make a round (you will need to pull quite tight to make ends meet. Fasten off.

Weave in ends and turn seam onto inside, attach bow to headband.
