Materials
30 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in white (001) main
5 grams of King Cole big value DK in lipstick (077) contrast
OR
1.1oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Main Color
Small amount of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Contrast color
4.00mm crochet hook
2 small and 1 large decorative buttons
GAUGE - 5sc and 6 rows of sc measures approx 1 Inch

Headband - With 4.00mm hook and main color ch58 loosely, sl st to first ch to make
a ring, (RS) work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each ch to end, sl st to first
sc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off. (58sc)
Using contrast color and starting with 1sc, work 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each
sc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. Fasten off.
Join in main color and rpt last row once. Turn.
Edging Row - ch1, (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in base of ch1, * skip 1sc, (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in
next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, skip last sc, sl st to first sc on beginning
of row. Turn. Fasten off. (29 Groups)
Using main color yarn and starting with WS facing, rpt Edging Row along cast on edge.
Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, attach large decorative
button.
Boots x 2 - With main color yarn, ch11, (RS) 3hdc in 4th ch from hook, 1hdc in each
of next 6ch, 8hdc in last ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1hdc in
each of next 6ch, 4hdc in last ch, sl st to top of the ch3 on beginning of row. DNT.
(27hdc + ch2)
Second Round - ch2, work 2hdc in each of next 3hdc, 1hdc in each of next 8hdc, 2hdc
in each of next 6hdc, 1hdc in each of next 8hdc, 2hdc in each of last 2hdc, 1hdc
in base of ch2, sl st to top of ch2. DNT. (39hdc + ch2)
Third Round - ch2, skip first hdc, 1hdc in each hdc to end, 1hdc in base of ch2,
sl st to top of ch2 on beginning of row. DNT.
Fourth Round - Working in back loop of stitch only, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc
in each hdc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn (40sc)
Fifth Round - Working through both loops ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc
to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. Rpt last row once. Fasten off.
Instep - With WS facing, contrast color and counting from where you fastened off,
skip 10sc, working in front loops only, rejoin yarn to next sc, ch1, 1sc in base
of ch1, 1sc in next 19sc. Turn. (20sc)
Work through both loops from now on.
Next Row - (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, (see abbrev)
9 times, 1sc in last sc. Turn. (11sc)
Next Row - (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, (5 times). Turn.
(6sc)
Next Row - (Dec Row) Insert hook and pull up loop from each of next 6sc, yo, pull
through 7 loops on hook to close, ch1. Fasten off.
With RS facing work 8sc evenly across top 
of instep (see pic). Fasten off.
Top - With main color and WS facing rejoin yarn to back seam, ch1, 1sc in base of
ch1, work 1sc in each of next 9sc, 1sc in each of next 8sc across top of instep,
work 1sc in each of next 10sc, sl st to first sc. Turn. (28sc)
Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning
of row. Turn.
Rpt last row 4 more times. Fasten off. Join in contrast color and rpt last row once.
Fasten off.
Rejoin main color and rpt last row once. Turn.
Rpt Edging Row from headband once. Fasten off. (14 Groups)
With top of boot towards you and using contrast color yarn, work one row of crab
stitch in loose loops around sole. Fasten off. (see abbrev for crab stitch)
Finishing - Weave in loose ends of yarn and trim off, attach small decorative button
to each boot.
