GAUGE - 5sc and 5 rows of sc measures approx 1 Inch

DUNGAREES - Using 4.00mm Hook and main color ch85, sl st to first ch to form a ring, ch3, (RS) * skip 1ch, 1 shell (see abbrev) in next ch, skip 1ch 1dc in each

of next ch2 * rpt from * to * to last 4ch's, skip 1ch, 1 shell in next ch, skip 1ch, 1dc in last ch, sl st to top of ch4 on beginning of row. Turn. (17 shells)


Next Row - ch4, trcb in next single dc, * 1 shell in ch1 space of next shell, 1trcb

in each of next 2 single dc, * rpt from * to * to last shell, work 1 shell in ch1 space of shell, sl st to top of ch4 on beginning of row. Turn.


Pattern Row 1 - ch4, * Work shell in ch1 space of next shell, 1trcf on next 2 single trc, * rpt from * to * to last shell and trc, work shell in ch1 space of shell, 1trcf on trc, sl st to top of ch4 on beginning of row. Turn.


Pattern Row 2 - ch4, trcb on next single trc, * 1 shell in ch1 space of next shell, 1trcb on each of next 2 single trc, * rpt from * to * to last shell, work shell in ch1 space of shell, sl st to top of ch4 on beginning of row. Turn.


Pattern Rows 1 & 2 form the pattern, rpt both rows until work measures approx

5 Inches or 10 rows in all have been worked. Turn. (you can add more rows here

Divide for legs


First Leg - Work Pattern Row 1 over next 8 shell, 1trcf on each of next 2 single trc, 1dc in ch1 space of next shell, sl st to top of ch4 on beginning of row. Turn.


Starting with ch4, skip 1dc and 1trc, 1trcb on next trc, continue with Pattern Row 2 to end, sl st to top of ch4. Turn. (8 shells) Work pattern rows as set until leg seam measures approx 6 Inches or 12 rows have been worked from division. Fasten off. (again you can add more rows here if you wish)


Contrast Edge - Join in contrast color yarn, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 1sc in

each of next 2dc, (1sc, ch1, 1sc) in ch1 space of shell, 1sc in each of next 2dc, 1sc in each of next 2trc, * rpt from * to * to last shell and trc, work 1sc in each of next 2dc, (1sc, ch1, 1sc) in ch1 space of shell, 1sc in each of next 2dc, 1sc in trc,

sl st to first sc. Fasten off.


Second Leg - With RS facing return and rejoin main color yarn to shell at centre, ch4, 1trcf on each of next 2 single trc, continue by working Pattern Row 1 over next 8 shells, 1trc on last trc, sl st to top of ch4 on beginning of row. Turn.


Next Row - Work Pattern Row 2 to last shell and 2 single trc, work shell in ch1 space of shell, 1trb on next trc, skip 1trc, sl st to top of ch4 on beginning of row. Turn.


Next Row - ch4, skip first trc, continue with Pattern Rows 1 & 2 the same as the first leg until 14 rows have been worked from division. Fasten off.


Rpt Contrast Edge same as first leg. Fasten off


Waist Band - With 4.00mm hook and RS facing, re-join main color yarn to back seam, working along cast on edge, work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each ch to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (85sc)


Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc

on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn.


Bib - With 4.00mm hook and RS facing counting from back seam, skip 30sc at waist, rejoin main color yarn to next sc, ch1, 1sc in same stitch, 1sc in next 24sc. Turn leaving remaining 30sc un-worked. (25sc).


Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 17 more rows in sc. Fasten off. (18 rows worked in all)


With RS facing, 4.00mm hook and contrast color yarn, starting at back seam, work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 29sc, work 1sc in each row end up first side of bib to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each sc to last sc, 3sc in last sc, 1sc in each row down second side of bib, 1sc in each of next 30sc, sl st to first

sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.


Straps x 2 - With 4.00mm hook and main color ch5, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook,

1sc in each of next 3ch's. Turn. Work 41 more rows in sc, making 42 rows in all. Turn.


Next Row - (Buttonhole Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of last 2sc. Turn.


Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc and ch2 space. Turn. Work 1 more row in sc. Fasten off.


Finishing - With WS facing sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn. Turn dungarees through to RS.


Attach each strap end to the inside of the waistband, approx 2nd shell in on either side of back seam on pants, sew buttons to corners on bib and fasten through buttonholes on straps.
