Coat - Worked in one piece, starting with yoke.
Using 4.00mm hook and colour 1 make 55ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into
the next 6ch’s (front), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into next 8ch’s (shoulder), 3tr into
next ch, 1tr into the next 17ch’s (back), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 8ch’s.
(shoulder), 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 8ch’s (front). Turn. (60tr + 3ch)
2nd Row - (Inc Row) Make 3ch, * 1tr into each tr to next 3tr group, 1tr into next
tr, 3tr into centre tr of 3tr group, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr group, 1tr into
next tr, 3tr into centre tr of 3tr group, 1tr into each tr to 3ch to turn with, work
1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (68tr + 3ch)
3rd & 4th Row - rpt 2nd Row. Turn. (84tr + 3ch)
5th Row - (Inc Row) Make 1ch, * 1dc into each tr to next 3tr group, 1dc into next

Pattern Row 4 - 3ch, 1tr into next tr, make 1ch, miss 1ch space, * 1tr into each
of next 5st, 1ch, miss 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3ch to turn with,
1tr into last tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (15, 5tr blocks, 3tr + 3ch)
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2.
Change to colour 1 and rpt Pattern Rows 3 & 4.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2. Fasten off. Turn.
Bottom & Front Edgings Including Buttonholes - Join in colour 2
With WS facing make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr and 1ch space to
last 3ch to turn with, 3dc into top of 3ch, working into row ends work 39dc evenly
up first front edge to neck, 3dc into corner, work 1dc into each ch along cast on
edge around neck to next corner, 3dc into corner, 39dc evenly into row ends down
second front edge, 1dc into base of 1ch, ss to first dc. Turn.
Buttonhole Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 23dc, * 2ch, miss
1dc, 1dc into each of next 7dc, * rpt from * to * once, 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into last
dc. Turn. (3 buttonholes made)
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each 2ch space and dc to corner, 3dc
into corner, 1dc into each st along bottom of coat to next corner, 3dc into corner,
1dc into each dc to neck edge. (Do not work around the neck) Turn.
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to corner. Fasten
off.
Sleeves x 2 - With WS facing, rejoin colour 1 to centre tr of 3tr under arm, 3ch,
1tr into each of next 26tr, 1tr into centre tr of 3tr on opposite side of sleeve
under arm, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (27tr + 3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row until 6 rows have been worked, change to colour 2 and rpt last row twice,
change back to colour 1 and rpt last row three more times, you will have 11 rows
worked from yoke or the sleeve seam will measure approx 4.7 Inches. Fasten off.
Cuff - Join in colour 2, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end,
ss to first dc. Turn. (28dc)
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first
dc. Fasten off.
Finishing - Close small gaps under arms, weave in and trim off loose ends of yarn.
Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
Headband - Using colour 1 make 65ch loosely, ss to first ch to form a ring.
Make 3ch, 1tr into next ch, 1ch, miss 1ch, * 1tr into each of next 5ch, 1ch, miss
1ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, 1tr into each of last 2ch, ss to top of 3ch on
beginning of row. Turn. (10, 5tr blocks, 3tr + 3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, make 1ch, miss 1ch space, * 1tr into each
of next 2tr, popcorn into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, 1ch, miss 1ch space,
* rpt from * to * to last tr, 1tr into last tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of
row. Turn. (10 Popcorns)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into next tr, make 1ch, miss 1ch space, * 1tr into next 5st,
1ch, miss 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, 1tr into each of last 2tr, ss
to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn. (10, 5tr blocks, 3tr + 3ch)
Edging - With RS facing join in colour 2, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into
each tr and 1ch space to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (65dc)
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on
beginning of row. Fasten off.
Rpt the last 2 rows around the cast on edge. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave any loose ends of yarn and trim.
