Divide for legs


First Leg - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch1, skip dc2tog, 1sc in next ch1 space, * rpt from * to * 24 more times, ch1, skip 26 dc2tog, sl st to first sc on beginning of row to form first leg. Turn. (26 ch1 spaces)


Next Row - ch3, dc2tog in next ch1 space, ch1, skip 1sc, * rpt from * to * to last ch1 space, dc2tog in ch1 space, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.


Rpt Rows 3 & 4 until 6 dc2tog rows have been worked from division. Turn.


Cuff - Change to 3.50mm hook, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc2tog and ch1 space to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (52sc)


Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. DNT.


Work 1 row of crab stitch. Fasten off.


Second Leg - Return to un-worked 26 dc2tog, rejoin yarn to same ch1 space at division as first leg, work second leg same as first. Fasten off.


Chain Tie - ch130. Fasten off.


Tassels - Cut 4 lengths of yarn approx 7 inches long, (twice) if you prefer a longer or a thicker tassel just add more length and more strips.


Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn, attach buttons to correspond with buttonholes. Thread chain tie through alternate stitches at waist, attach tassels to each end of chain tie, by threading cut ends through last ch and pulling loose ends through loop to secure. Trim tassels so they are even, tie in a bow.


If you don’t want to make tassels you can use small pom poms.
